 Christ wants to be at home in your soul. He will not go away and leave you if the house is chilly and uncomfortable; he loves you too much to leave you, but how often, how tragically often, he must say nowadays: 'The Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.'

Christ asks for a home in your soul, where he can be at rest with you, where he can talk easily to you, where you and he, alone together, can laugh and be silent and be delighted with one another. All this may seem daring, but it is true; it is the meaning of the Incarnation.

Hristos vrea să fie acasă în sufletul tău. El nu va merge departe şi să te lase în cazul în care casa din sufletul tău este rece si inconfortabil. El te iubeşte prea mult ca să te lase, dar cât de des, cât de tragic de multe ori, el trebuie să spună astăzi: "Fiul Omului nu are unde-Şi odihni capul. " 

Hristos solicită sufletului tău o casă, în care el poate să se odihnească cu tine, în care el poate vorbi cu uşurinţă cu tine. Unde tu si el, numai împreună, să râdeti şi să tăceţi şi să fie încântat unul de celălalt. Toate acestea pot părea indrăzneţe, dar sunt adevărate. Acesta este sensul  Întrupării Sale.
